Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees in and for the Town of Gayville, South Dakota on the 19th day of November 2024, at the hour of 6:00 PM in the Community Center of said Town of Gayville, will meet at the regular town board meeting to consider the following: American Legion Post 237 a – One-Day Temporary Liquor License to operate at 404 Washington Street, Town of Gayville, South Dakota on November 27, 2024. Application presented to the governing body and filed in the Town Clerk’s Office. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT: any person, persons, or their attorney may appear & be heard at said scheduled Public Hearing who are interested in the approval or rejection of any such application. Gayville is located in the Southeast corner of South Dakota in Yankton County. Gayville is just off of Highway 50. We are within minutes of Yankton and Vermillion. We have a great small town atmosphere with low crime and family friendly neighborhoods.

Gayville has many businesses, churches, parks, athletic complex, community center, gas/convenience store, bank, and a growing public school district. We have the same entities of larger communities such as natural gas, city water, and sewer.

Gayville is the self-proclaimed "Hay Capital of the World". Gayville is also constantly in competition with nearby Meckling, the self-proclaimed "Hay Capital of the Universe."
